OSSLT Breakfast A Great Way To Start The Day

Thursday marked the St. Joseph's sitting for the OSSLT, more commonly known as "The Literacy Test," and much preparation and effort was evident as one made their way through the halls of SJCHS.

Essentially a Grade 10 Literacy Test part of the battery of evaluations encased in the EQAO process, the test is treated as a serious measure of student achievement and and program accountability.

Understanding, as we all do, that good work is made more likely when done in the absence of hunger, an effort was made to provide all students taking this test with a robust breakfast intent on fortifying them prior to what lay ahead for them. Pictured above are Student Success Teacher Russ Connors, SJCHS Prime Minister Kelly Slight, and former teacher Pat Watters as they ensure that all students wishing a breakfast are attended to.
